Shipping policy

Notice: Shipping to the USA has been paused starting August 18, 2025 due to the new import duties, tariffs and brokerage/custom fees that came into effect August 29, 2025. 

Letter mail as a shipping option is no longer offered. Effective January 29, 2026.

Shipping is determined at checkout and shipping location. Orders are shipped from Kingston, Ontario. Please allow 2-4 days to process your order prior to shipping for in-stock items. All items are shipped with tracking (standard rates of 3-15 business days). Once your order has been fulfilled and shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking number. If you would like faster delivery, please contact us prior to placing your order for details and pricing.

For Canadian residents only, spend $150 (after any applicable discounts) and get $10 flat rate shipping. Shipping will be automatically applied at checkout for qualifying shopping carts. Not valid for previously placed orders.

Shipping Internationally (outside of Canada) may be available. Please contact me to inquire if this is possible and to get a quote for shipping costs.

I cannot guarantee the exact arrival of your orders. All items are shipped standard tracked shipping. If you require your items sooner, please contact me prior to ordering at beamcreativedesigns@gmail.com. Shipping costs will increase for rush/priority shipping.

Beam Creative Designs will not be held responsible for delays, lost items or damage during shipping. Letter mail does not have tracked shipping and is therefore at the buyers risk to select this shipping option. Please carefully check your mailing address at checkout. Should you need to change your mailing address, contact me ASAP at beamcreativedesigns@gmail.com.  If your order is returned because of an incorrect mailing address, incorrect shipping method or if you did not pick-up your package in time from the mail carrier (if required), then you will need to purchase a new shipping label to resend the package. Once the postage has been paid, we will resend the package. The customer is responsible for the cost of re-shipping package. All sales are final.

All customs, duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees are the responsibility of the purchaser. Check your customs regulations. If you are in UK & European countries, you may need to pay VAT or other taxes that are not included in our prices. All sales are "Delivered At Place (DAP)". Tax is paid by the receiver upon import into your country.

Beam Creative Designs is a small business located in Kingston, Ontario. Please note that I have a golden doodle dog helper that occasionally visits my crafting/fabric area.

Waxed Canvas Shipping:

• Sold as 18" pre-cuts and will be shipped rolled.
• Small scratches/patina may exist on waxed canvas. This is part of its charm and does not affect the use of the canvas. It will show lines and marks as it is used creating the rustic and worn patina that is part of the character of waxed cotton. If you would like to remove scratches and marks, I recommend using a blow dryer to heat the material and gently rub to blend the wax. See care instructions for more details.
• For the 12 oz waxed canvas I’ve done my best to photograph the colours. If you have questions please email me at beamcreativedesigns@gmail.com. Due to waxing & differences in computer/device screens, shades will vary and not be exactly as shown. All 12oz waxed canvas is 100% cotton, but to have a great colour variety I chose from different cotton collections, which means the look of the cotton weave may vary between colours. Waxed canvas shows creases and marks and patinas with use, that is part of its charm. I’ve done my best to initially reduce these marks but no roll is perfect. You can further carefully heat the waxed canvas to reduce patina. Colour tone may vary between deliveries received from the supplier to due dying and waxing process.  

Cork Shipping:

Sold by the quarter yard pre-cut - 18" x 26". Quantity of 1 = 1 pre-cut piece of 18" x 26". If quantity of 2 is ordered, one continuous piece 18" x 52" will be provided. If quantity of 3 is ordered, one 52" piece and one 26" piece will be provided as maximum length is 52". Single (1) quantity may be shipped folded. Multiple quantities will be shipped rolled.

Important Note: As cork comes from a natural wood source, the nature of the material surface can be naturally pitted with small holes and cracks. This is part of the appearance and natural quality. When cork is folded, it can sometimes have small superficial cracks, that do not go through the backing and do not affect the structural integrity of the project. Dark and bright coloured dyes can sometime rub or wear off on sharp corners, such as boxed corners more easily over time.

Local Pick Up

If you live in the Kingston, Ontario area, you can select local pick up at checkout. Pickup is in the west end of Kingston. Once your order has been placed, please allow 2-4 days to process and create your order. Once it is complete, you will receive an email confirming your order is ready for pickup and the pickup address. The email will request you to reply indicating the date of pickup. This helps me to know when to place your order in the pickup area. Please reply to this email as soon as you can.
