Custom Orders

Have you been browsing the handmade section but wish a bag or quilt was in a different colour way? Then please reach out! I am always happy to discuss custom orders. 

Here are a few things you should know about custom orders:

  • Once I review your request form, I will reach out via email to gather more information on your request. I will only ever take on custom orders where I feel confident that I can deliver a high quality product. Occasionally there are patterns that require a significant amount of effort, which I may not be in a position to take on. I reserve the right to refuse custom requests. 
  • Once I have enough information, I will let you know the general price range for the item you are looking to have made. 

  • Depending on the amount of design input required, a design/consultation fee may be applicable, and you will be notified prior to full consultation. 

  • For all custom quilt design requests larger than a baby quilt, a non-refundable $25 design consultation fee is required prior to starting the design and fabric selection process.

  • Please be aware that custom baby quilts start at $110. Larger quilts, such as a lap size/couch quilts or larger start at $350.
  • Once the design is finalized for all custom orders, and you have made the decision to move forward, a 50% non-refundable deposit for the cost of the item is required before I start making it. Should you decide you no longer want the custom item at the end, this deposit cannot be used for other items as I have already used handpicked materials for your custom order.
  • Sales, coupons, and discount codes cannot be used for custom items.
  • Turnaround time:
    • Bags 2-4 weeks depending on the size/complexity
    • Quilts 6-12 weeks depending on the size/complexity
  • Once the item is done, photos will be sent.
  • Full payment required prior to pick-up or shipping. Shipping discounts not applicable to custom order items.

  • You will not be shown progress photos of the item as it is being created. Should I need to use a material that was not discussed, creative liberties will be taken. This includes things such as zipper colour, rivet colour, strap colour, etc.  Creative liberties also include my choice to place things in a certain way to enhance the features of the bag (for example, label placement, use of rivets, etc.). I will use my best judgement for slight variations in features of the bag. Should I feel strongly that something you have chosen will not work well, I will contact you to discuss.
