Deep Teal

This canvas is easy to sew. Waxed canvas ages with character and will have noticeable craze and naturally patina (crack marks) with use.

  • Paraffin wax
  • Contents: 100% cotton
  • Width: 56'' wide
  • Weight: 12 oz

I’ve done my best to photograph the colours. If you have questions please email me at beamcreativedesigns@gmail.com. Due to waxing & differences in computer/device screens, shades will vary and not be exactly as shown. All 12oz waxed canvas is 100% cotton, but to have a great colour variety I chose from different cotton collections, which means the look of the cotton weave may vary between colours. Waxed canvas shows creases and marks and patinas with use, that is part of its charm. I’ve done my best to initially reduce these marks but no roll is perfect. You can further carefully heat the waxed canvas to reduce patina.

This lighter colour may have the occasional darker thread mark. This adds to its rustic character. I have done my best to minimize these within each roll but they are not completely avoidable.

How to order fabric:
  • Sold as 18" precuts and will be shipped rolled.
Order Quantity  Yards
1 One 18" roll
2 Two 18" rolls
3 Three 18" rolls
4 Four 18" rolls
5 Five 18" rolls
6 Six 18" rolls

Waxed canvas shows lines and marks where it is folded. This adds and creates the rustic/patina look that is part of the waxed canvas character. Although you can remove most crease marks, deeper folds or folds from packaging can be more permanent. Often these folds will blend in overtime and use of the material. If you would like to remove scrunches and marks, I recommend using a blow dryer to heat the material and gently rub to blend the wax. Ironing the material is at your risk. This can be done, but you must use a pressing cloth or parchment paper to protect your iron and ironing board.

Clean your machine after use as some waxy residue can come off while sewing.

Bright and deep colours are subject to crocking and bleeding and should not be mixed with white or light colours in the same garment.
