This waxed canvas is easy to sew. Waxed canvas ages with character and will have noticeable craze and naturally patina (crack marks) with use. This is an 11.5 oz tightly woven 100% cotton canvas impregnated with high-perfomance C4X wax, which contains no parabens, petroleum, formaldehyde or PFOAs.
It is dirt repellent, water resistant, wind resistant, breathable, scuff resistant, odorless, and will not transfer. Imported from Scotland.

Waxed canvas shows lines and marks where it is folded. This adds and creates the rustic/patina look that is part of the waxed canvas character. Although you can remove most crease marks, deeper folds or folds from packaging can be more permanent. Often these folds will blend in overtime and use of the material. If you would like to remove scrunches and marks, I recommend using a blow dryer to heat the material and gently rub to blend the wax. Ironing the material is at your risk. This can be done, but you must use a pressing cloth or parchment paper to protect your iron and ironing board.
Clean your machine after use as some waxy residue can come off while sewing.
Bright and deep colours are subject to crocking and bleeding and should not be mixed with white or light colours in the same garment.
